Is green goddess Miranda Kerr trying to get into films? Model wears stunning minidress to meet mogul Harvey Weinstein

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Movie meeting: Miranda Kerr waves goodbye to movie mogul Harvey Weinstein in New York earlier today

Her Victoria's Secret colleague Rosie Huntington-Whiteley kicked off her movie career with a role in Transformers 3 earlier this summer.

And now perhaps Miranda Kerr is looking to get a slice of the acting action.

The 28-year-old model met up with movie mogul Harvey Weinstein in New York, who would be wise to offer her a future role.

Green goddess: The Australian model showed off her enviable figure in a tight green dress and black wedge sandals

And the Australian-born star certainly knew how to make an impression, wearing a clinging green mini dress and black wedge sandals.

Kerr is acquainted with the mogul through her marriage to Orlando Bloom, who starred in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, which Weinstein executively produced.

The model has been married to Bloom for nearly a year and they have a baby son Flynn, who was born in January.

Wave goodbye: Kerr bids farewell to the movie mogul as she gets into her waiting vehicle

Kerr recently revealed she would like more children with the British actor, telling the Australian TV programme Sunday Night: 'I always thought I would have three.

Right now I'm just trying to enjoy Flynn.

She also revealed that it was not love at first sight when she met 34-year-old Bloom.

'I think it was his persistence,' she said. 'Maybe he wanted me because he thought he couldn't have me.'

Asked if his movie star status put him off, she admitted: 'I was reluctant - not about him, but the idea of that (him being a movie star).'

Happy families: Kerr married Bloom last summer and they have a six-month-old baby Flynn

As the Rupert Turns

Here's a summary of what happened yesterday in Rupert's testimony to Parliament.

I watched a lot of this testimony yesterday, and I have to say I'm very disappointed with the coverage by the American press. Fox News was a joke. It must be tough to cover your boss with any sense of objectivity, but under the circumstances was it really necessary to so blatantly kiss his ass? CNN was focused on the mention of their night time star Piers Morgan (a former News of the World editor), and what they considered to be an outrageous claim that he also hacked phones. And MSNBC had an anchor covering this that completely misunderstood what was going on. When the "creampie" incident happened, he said that it interrupted pretty uncompelling testimony. (What?) And virtually all of the newspaper and online coverage focused on the creampie incident.

Really?

Did you guys watch the same thing I watched? Yes, it was interesting that somebody slammed a creampie in Rupert's face. Yes, his wife Wendy does have quick reflexes. But did anybody else notice that Rupert was pretending to be a doddering old man that has no idea what happens in his own company? Anyone that knows anything about News Corp knows that he rules it with an iron fist. He must be pretty scared to pull a Junior Soprano.

This case isn't going away. It's just beginning. The News Corp stock may have survived because Rupert didn't say anything that caused him to be arrested on the spot, but the entire British establishment is in danger. This case involves bribing police. The top two men at Scotland Yard have resigned for cryin' out loud. It involves criminal activity. The top editors and former editors have been arrested! It involves huge payoffs of hush money (approved by James Murdoch himself). It involves the British PM directly--his former spokesperson has been arrested--and an e-mail from his assistant to Scotland Yard implicates the Prime Minister himself. The main whistleblower was found dead this week. And the FBI has even opened an investigation into whether or not the voicemails of 9-11 victims were hacked here in the United States.

This story is not about a creampie. It's not about Piers Morgan. And it's not about Rupert's wife.

Behind the scenes: Kate Winslet shoots the new autumn/winter campaign for U.S label St. John

Kate Winslet may not be a size zero, but that won't stop her from forging a successful modelling career.

The actress showed off her curves as the new face of U.S knitwear label St. John for their 2011 autumn campaign.

In behind the scenes footage, a smouldering Kate is shot in a series of elegant poses on stage at a theatre in New Jersey.

'Every woman's dream': Kate claims the camel dress is something you can 'throw on, zip up and go'

In video footage, entitled 'scenes of a woman', Kate declares her love for the U.S label for creating clothes that suit her 'real shape'.

Kate says: 'With St. John You can look extremely chic without trying too hard.

'You don't feel as though they are clothes that only a model would be able to wear.
'And obviously I am not a model, I don't have a model's body, I have a real shape.

'And that just means a lot to me to be able to wear clothes that do embody that message of strength and power and femininity in a real shape.'

Fresh talent: Kate replaces model Karen Elson and actress Angelina Jolie, who 'overshadowed' the brand

Having it all: Kate is inspired by mothers who set an example to young women, and hopes to do the same with her ten-year-old daughter Mia

The Titanic actress was hired to replace redhead model Karen Elson.

Angelina Jolie was previously the face of the label but it was reported she 'overshadowed' the brand.

When hiring Elson, CEO Glenn McMahon told WWD: 'We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette.'

But it looks as though McMahon is now eating his words after hiring the 'blonde' actress

Comfortable but elegant: Kate claims the drawstring grey trousers and cashmere top is her favourite outfit
