Too good not to post!

Wow!  Speaks for itself!  I'm out of town and just checking in and this is too good to pass up.

Ola,again from Montreal
I thought you might get a kick out of an old winter project of mine;A buddy dropped off an XL250 (that I quickly took the motor out of & gave away the rest). I happened to have an extra frame from a Z50 hanging around. The motor has a performance cam (because you can't go wrong with too much power, most of the time). I used triple trees from a Yamaha TT500 that  were gathering dust in my,tiny, workshop ( the head pipe came from the TT too. Hey, it fit right on !).. The rear sprocket was a McGyver 'special'. Footpegs are the old buddy pegs from my CBR900RR.Seat is the passenger saddle from the 900 too.Fuel cell is a modded propane cylinder ( don't try this at home kids !).I think the Supertrapp is off of the XL250 if memory serves.
Performance is....terrifying. Owing to the lack of suspension ( the forks are a joke ), you cannot hold the throttle open. Though when you try, the front wheel comes up...in EVERY gear! Great fun because it looks like a regular Z50 from the front (except for the TT500 clamps & bars) so folks don't appreciate what's about to catch & pass them.

Simple and spectacular!!  Thanks Again!!

Built by Gene and Ron Atherton.

It is a 83 Honda VT500 Ascot. It was our ice bike, before that Gene tried to dirt track it but it didn't work out. We built it during the winter of 09. Gets road most ever day in the summer.

Thanks
Ron

Honda Motorcycles 2010 Honda VFR1200F review and specification

there are 3 models VFR1200F Honda motorcycle in 2010 taerbaru American and you can choose the one you want according to their own, usually he can slang lebi steady if choosing what he chose as his own. motorcycle honda is the favorite by many people in American especially, with the model motorcycle guy, will make a man is really cool and handsome when driving with the motor ini.apakah you also want to know about the world of motorcycle yamaha latest, design motorcycle VFR1200F 2010, the list price of motorcycle VFR1200F 2010, the specification motorcycle VFR1200F 2010.dan you can see the specifications of a motorcycle

Honda have finally released official specs for the all-new VFR1200F, which is possibly the most eagerly-awaited Honda in recent years. The bike is powered by a 1,237cc V4 that produces 172 horsepower at 10,000rpm and 129Nm of torque at 8,750rpm. Kerb weight is 267kg.The VFR1200F has a vacuum-moulded cast aluminium chassis and suspension components include a 43mm cartridge-type fork at the front and Pro-Link monoshock with gas-charged damper at the rear. The bike is fitted with a single-side swingarm and final drive is via shaft rather than chain, making it clear that this is a sports-tourer rather than an all-out sportsbike. However, the VFR's drive mechanism has been specially designed to eliminate the back-and-forth 'pitching' that's sometimes associated with shaft drive. As expected, the new VFR comes with ride-by-wire throttle control and Honda’s C-ABS anti-lock brakes. The bike is fitted with a conventional six-speed gearbox as standard, while a dual clutch automatic transmission is optional. The latter allows the rider to operate the bike in either full automatic mode, or in manual mode, with clutchless gear shifting via finger-operated paddles. The VFR1200F rides on 17-inch aluminium wheels, shod with 120/70 (front) and 190/55 (rear) rubber. Available colours include red, silver and white. The bike will go on sale early next year, though prices are yet to be announced.

Really Nice Honda VF1000R. Also Known As "The Pig".

I've never ridden one but I've read more than once that the weight of this bike earned it the nickname among racers as "the pig". It's no pig on the eyes though.

Reader Submittal. A really Great Home Grown Honda Bobber!

I saw the pics of the finished bike over on ADV Rider and knew there had to be a good story behind such a cool build. So I pm'd the owner to see if he's be interested in sharing a few details and I was not disappointed!. Thank You John! There's a lot of personal touches and one-off parts in this one. It's obvious that you've put some time into it. Thanks Again!

John Writes in:

Hey Steve,
I would be happy to share some info on the bobber I posted on advrider.  It started out as a 1974 CB750 which was hardtailed and tranformed into the bike you saw.  I have been working on it for 2 years it is almost done. I just need to finish dialing in the carbs.  It has been a pain since I use straight pipes and a open air intake.  Everything on the bike that is custom I built.  I do my own powder coating, except for frames since my oven is not that big.  I tryed to go with a minimalistic, clean, old school approach.  I am happy you like it.  If you have any other questions or want to see any other pics (I have a ton) let me know.
John

Here's the Before and Build pics. That's quite a save!

I love the bike but my bedroom overlooks Lilac Alley and would love it more if you didn't race up and down the alley late at night and let it idle in the alley.sorry to be a pain but my bike sets off car alarms as well but I try and do that on other peoples streets...

Dan Noyola sends in this wicked little custom build. Did some hunting and found his blog!  Go HERE  for his blog build pics!  Now don't be shy about sending me links to yor blogs and slideshows fand such!  I love these kinds of builds. This once again proves that imagination and creativity are more important than money. What a cool bike.

Dan Writes:
It was put together in a couple of weeks for a few hundred dollars for the Dirtbag Challenge.
My ladyfriend still rides it regularly.

Dirtbag Challenge sounds like a blast. Thanks again!
